Myself and my partner decided to buy a house this year. Unexpectedly, a house that was ideal for us came up before we had mortgage approval. I didn’t realise that switching your mortgage is far easier than the initial mortgage when purchasing a property and that the Central Bank Loan to Income and Loan to Value exception / exemptions don’t apply for switchers.
